AGROFORESTRY AND PLANTATION

We think that agricultural production alone cannot meet farmers’ long-term demands. Along with food, there is a rising need for wood-based products like furniture. In the long term, agroforestry assists farmers by offering a different source of revenue in addition to aiding in soil conservation.

More than 5000 plants with a variety of purposes, including those for wood, fruit, and other agricultural products, have been planted thanks to our encouragement of our farmers to embrace agroforestry practices.

WATERSHED MANAGEMENT TRAINING

To safeguard the foundations of natural resource bases, agriculture, and save communities, water resource management is essential. We provide training in sustainable and integrated watershed management to our farmer communities, assisting them in conserving water for their own agricultural requirements as well as enough water for the needs of their livestock and wild animals. Farmers have received training on the technical, managerial, and other facets of watershed management. More than 200 acres of land in various watershed zones were preserved thanks to farmers’ greater understanding.

SOIL & WATER CONSERVATION

Water-scarce areas, like Rajasthan, have a harder time conserving enough water to meet the irrigation and drinking needs of farmers and livestock. They also have to keep the soil moist and prevent soil erosion brought on by water flowing from higher watersheds to lower areas, especially in hilly terrain. We educate farmers on the several steps they may take to prevent soil erosion, encourage and maintain soil moisture, and preserve water for all uses. We support farmers using modern agricultural techniques by monitoring water evaporation brought on by hot weather. We were able to assist farmers in their training to preserve millions of litres of priceless water.
