Over the years, our desire to build grassroots organizations and serve communities has driven us to broaden our emphasis and address capacity challenges at the highest levels in order to maximize the effect at the base.
As a result, our mission to strengthen the capabilities of numerous institutions engaged in rural development took precedence. In order to achieve our goal, we have strategically forged partnerships with a number of State and local level organizations across the nation, including the State Institute of Rural Development, District Rural Development Agency, National Rural Health Mission, Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRI), and Extension Training Centres (ETC).
Building the capacity of Panchayati Raj institutions has been one of our key areas of attention, and we have seen outstanding results in this area. To give more effective training on many elements of rural development, we created connections with additional State Institutes of Rural Development across States and District Rural Development Agencies, Extension Training Centres, Panchayati Raj Institutions, etc. In 11 Indian States, we taught more than 3500 PRI members from more than 55 Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs).
