In order to improve the economic, social, and cultural conditions of communities, integrate them into national life, and give them the opportunity to fully contribute to national progress, development may be defined as a process in which the efforts of the people themselves are combined with those of governmental authorities. Community development is a cooperative, facilitating process used by individuals (community, institutions, or academic stakeholders) with the aim of enhancing the ability to improve quality of life.
RECENT INTERVENTIONS
AWARENESS GENERATION ACTIVITIES
Awareness Generation among communities has been a key instrument that helped us sustain communities’ interest and help them prevent various health issues, diseases etc. Key focus of our awareness activities was:
- Pulse Policy
- HIV/AIDS
- Covid-19 Preventive Measures
- Sustainable Agriculture
- Water Conservation
CULTURAL ACTIVITIES
We occasionally organise various cultural events that are significant to the national, regional, local, cultural, social, and environmental spheres. We have reached out to more than 200 people and cultivated closer links with communities thanks to such activities.
SPORTS, YOGA AND WELLNESS ACTIVITIES
Yoga is one of India’s cultural treasures. It is the motherland of many arts and sciences that have deep roots in their meaning and consequences. The secret to living a purposeful and healthy life is to maintain both physical fitness and mental tranquilly. Protecting the health of our beneficiaries and members of the community was our main priority. After the country’s lockdown ended, we encouraged our main beneficiaries to participate in activities like yoga, sports, and well-being. These efforts helped us rebuild our relationships with the local populations.
MEETINGS, WORKSHOPS & EVENT
We regularly plan several meetings with communities, participatory reviews, seminars with stakeholders, and other activities pertaining to the communities and projects throughout the year. More than 25000 people have successfully been reached through our various programme sites.
